Picnic Lunch to Celebrate Queen’s 90th

Friday, 10 June 2016

The Junior Girls’ School was a riot of red, white and blue as pupils celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday!

The girls dressed in the colours of the British flag to honour the occasion, and the celebrations included a delicious party lunch eaten picnic-style in the playground. The girls chose from a selection of sandwiches, mini-pizzas or pasties, all served with carrot and cucumber sticks, melon slices and juice. They had chocolate celebration cupcakes for pudding.

Thankfully the morning’s drizzle disappeared by lunchtime, allowing the girls to sit outside for their picnic.

Pupils didn’t allow the misty weather to dampen their spirits in the slightest! The playground was filled with a fantastic party atmosphere in honour of the Queen’s birthday.
