"When I return to Bolton School to talk to pupils about entrepreneurship, my message is to 'go for it'. This is an attitude that I had instilled in me during my time at the school where my curiosity was fuelled and I became interested in ideas."

Thursday, 26 January 2017

  • Nursery Class Chinese New Year - dragon puppets
  • Nursery Class Chinese New Year - learnnig numbers with a Chinese Dragon on the whiteboard
  • Nursery Class Chinese New Year - paper lanterns
  • Nursery Class Chinese New Year - dragon mask

Children enrolled in the Nursery Class for 3 and 4 year olds celebrated Chinese New Year with lots of themed activities. They created paper lanterns, Chinese dragon puppets and even dragon masks, all of which they were able to decorate using brightly coloured pencils and sequins.

Even their learning about numbers was assisted by a Chinese dragon on the interactive whiteboard!

They also tasted noodles as one of their snacks to complete the Chinese theme for the day. All of the children tried eating with the chopsticks, which was definitely a challenge!

Children attending the Nursery also enjoyed Chinese New Year festivities.
