"Reluctantly, I wait for the holidays to come. I love coming to school. I am still doing cross country...the reason why I started was because Jessica Ennis inspired me."

Painted Faces and Furry Onesies for Comic Relief

Friday, 13 March 2015

Children at Bolton School’s Nursery enjoyed some extra fun on Red Nose Day. They were invited to attend the nursery wearing red outfits and several had their faces painted. Nursery staff also got into the spirit, with many wearing Comic Relief t-shirts and painting noses and cheeks red, and some even wearing Red Nose Day themed onesies and going for full-face makeup!

The Nursery Class for Three and Four Year Olds also joined in the fun by dressing up in animal onesies. They had great fun wearing costumes for the day, and really got into the spirit of pretending to be a crocodile or a rabbit, a giraffe or a monkey, a wolf or even a butterfly! In the afternoon, Nursery Class leaders hosted a Red Nose Day market, selling toys, gifts, DVDs, and a selection of delicious home-made cakes and assorted edible treats. The parents coming to pick up the Nursery Class were delighted to support the cause.

The Nursery raised over £159 for Comic Relief, with some more donations yet to come, which is a fantastic achievement.

Older children at the School also got into the spirit of the day: the Junior Boys made their faces funny with face paint or giant noses, while the Infants came into School wearing pyjamas or onesies to raise money for the cause.
