Pupils from Bolton School Nursery have been getting active and
raising money for a children's charity with a sponsored walk.
Along with pupils from Gaskell Primary School, they took part in
Walk4Kids in aid of MedEquip4Kids, a charity which helps provide
hospital facilities and medical equipment for youngsters with
serious illnesses and injuries.
The event was part of the charity's Get Active with Pip
programme - named after its mascot - an initiative which encourages
primary schools to organise sponsored walks.
The walk raised more than £500, with £360 coming from Bolton
School.
The charity's schools presenter, Debbie Barker, visited the
schools and said: "Both schools did incredibly well with their
sponsorship and this is going to allow us to continue our work
providing essential medical equipment to treat poorly
children."
