"Bolton School was such a large part of my life. I can safely say that I would not be doing what I do for a living if it wasn’t for the vibrant arts scene at the school and the encouragement that I was given."

Parents of children attending Bolton School Nursery enjoyed a weekend session on helping them understand different aspects of the Early Years’ Foundation Stage and finding out about activities that they could do to benefit home learning with their children.

Head of the Nursery, Miss Jo Hewitt, said: “Through a questionnaire we learnt that many parents were unsure about how best to help their child at home with their Maths so we decided to hold a Saturday morning drop-in session to try and help them. They - and we - had great fun! We set up several activities for parents and their children and created home learning idea booklets to continue the learning between home and nursery. The morning was a great success and we plan to run drop-in sessions on a regular basis.”
