Wild West Send-Off for Butterflies

Friday, 11 July 2014

The children who have been part of the Nursery's Butterfly Room this year will be moving on to their first year of Infants school in September. To celebrate, they were all invited to a leavers’ party at the start of the summer. There was a ‘Wild West’ theme, with all the children dressed up as Cowboys or Indians, or wearing other themed clothing.

Throughout the Butterflies’ leaving party the children took part in many exciting games and activities. The Nursery had a Bouncy Castle delivered, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. They also learned how to dance in country and western styles. A clown called Mr Tumbles provided excellent entertainment and lots of laughs, and the Butterflies got to try their hand at circus tricks – which were very difficult but tremendous fun!

The Nursery even arranged for an ice cream van to come and deliver ice creams for everyone!

All of the Butterflies went home talking about their shared experiences and how much fun they had at their leavers’ party.
