"The classic Bolton School combination is hard work, good friends, challenging and thought-provoking teaching, a healthy desire to puncture the self-important and the sense that you can work hard to achieve things in life. "

Biathletes' Successful Weekend

Sunday, 14 November 2010

Senior School boys met with success at the weekend at the English Schools' Biathlon (swimming and running) event held at Wavertree Sports Park in Liverpool.

The Year 7 boys recorded a 2nd place team finish.  Individually, Ben Riding had placed 4th, Andrew Lee 5th and David Price 11th.  All boys competed in a 500m running race and a 50m swimming race.

There were also some outstanding individual performances in other year groups which saw Bolton School claim 1st position in the Year 8 (Matthew Martin), Year 10 (Andrew Keat) and Year 11 (Oliver Walker) competitions.  These boys swam 100m and ran 1000m.

The boys now go on to one of three semi-finals held in Macclesfield in January 2011.
