Boys to Represent the Borough at Volleyball Again

Friday, 22 February 2013

Two teams of Year 10 Bolton School Boys’ Division pupils returned to the Bolton Town Volleyball Championships for the second year, after taking the title in their debut season last year.

With the sport growing both in school and in the borough, competition was intense with an increased number of teams entering. Both Year 10 teams played well with one team remaining unbeaten in five games to make the final, beating the likes of Thornleigh, Turton and St Joseph's on the way. Unfortunately in the final the boys ran out of time despite looking likely to win, and finished worthy runners up to the opposing team, which was made up of Year 11 pupils.

Bolton School will now go on to represent the borough for the second consecutive year in the Greater Manchester Games in May.
