Selected members of the Bolton School Joint Chamber Choir, directed by Cath Whitmore, gave a superb performance to the members of ‘Jigsaw’, a stroke survivors group in Bolton.
The event was the ‘Jigsaw’ Christmas party and the choir sang Christmas carols and other seasonal songs to entertain the group after their Christmas lunch. Song sheets were provided so that everyone could join in and these were particularly appreciated for the last item, ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’.
The choir was very well received and was followed by the comedian, Dave Spikey, who treated the group to a half hour stand-up routine, ending the party on a real high note. The organisers were delighted with the whole event and were very pleasantly surprised at the standard of the choir (which was not at full strength because there was only room for a small choir to perform), asking them to return in the New Year.
