Last year, Boys’ Division pupils raised £5,000 for the charity Guide Dogs, allowing them to sponsor two puppies through their training. The money was raised through a variety of activities, from a ‘money-box’ challenge to fun runs, and boys from Year 7 to Year 13 were involved.
The boys were able to name both of the dogs and decided to call them Pippin and Fil. Over the past months since the puppies were born, the School has been receiving ‘Pupdates’ on their progress, and recently a group of boys was able to meet the two trainee guide dogs in person.
Pippin was the first to visit the School, followed a few weeks later by Fil. The boys were really excited to meet both of the dogs and the volunteers looking after them. It was great opportunity to get to know the dogs’ lively personalities and hear first-hand about their progress.
