"Hesketh House (Junior Girls' School) is a magical place of adventure, discovery, learning, friendship and joy. The girls, albeit within a modern, disciplined, hard-working atmosphere, appear each evening as though sprinkled in fairy dust."

Jos Maintains Family's National Water Polo Tradition

Monday, 20 March 2017

Playing water polo for one's country it seems is a family tradition for the Winstanleys. Youngest of three brothers, Jos, aged 16, has been called up for the England U17 water polo squad and follows in the footsteps of Aaron, who captained the Great Britain team at U19 level and eldest brother Drew, who also represented his country at Under 19 level.

Jos will compete in the European Nations’ Tournament in Brno in the Czech Republic during the Easter vacation. The finals will see twelve teams take part in the competition and the Year 11 pupil faces an intensive training camp beforehand. Jos’ goal is to then be selected for the Great Britain U17 team which will compete in the European Championships Qualifying tournament in May.
