Tennis Boys off to a Flying Start

Friday, 18 May 2012

The Bolton School Boys' Division U13 and U15 teams are off to a flying start in the AEGON Schools National Tennis Championships.

Playing in the group stages, the boys beat schools such as Broughton College, Arnold and Kirkham grammar without dropping a set! Both teams hope to reach the knockout stages later in the year.

A senior Northern Schools event that included some top competition from across the North of England was also hosted at Bolton School, with a notable performance from the pairing of Abhinav Kumar and Richard Humphrey who despite playing a year up reached the quarter finals.

The Junior Northern Schools will take place at Pocklington School in York at the end of June.
