"There is no doubt this is a very special school with fantastic facilities and fantastic teachers who make all the difference. It's just a shame that every school in the country cannot be like Bolton School."

U12s Win Town Plate

Thursday, 03 April 2014

The U12s football team have won the Town Plate, beating Ladybridge School 1-0 in the final with a goal from Richard Birtwhistle.

Bolton School's boys kept the ball very well throughout the entire game, creating over 18 chances on goal and being well on top in the possession stats. The crucial goal came just eight minutes from time: after a well worked attack, Nikhil Maini was brought down in the box, resulting in the referee awarding a penalty. Richard Birtwhistle calmly converted to give Bolton the lead and begin the celebrations!

This is a much deserved win after a tough season, and hopefully the players will take this through to next year and continue their fine form.
