U13s End Season With Town Cup Victory

Wednesday, 13 April 2016

Bolton School Boys’ Division U13 football team ended their season on a high as they won the Town Cup, beating St James’s School 3-1 on the Old Boltonians’ pitch.  Goals from Felix Hill, Harry Diggle and Jameson Goloba sealed victory in this weather-delayed final.

Head of PE in the Boys’ Division, Mr Matt Johnson, said: “It was frustrating that the final was delayed until after Easter, however, the lads didn’t allow this to affect them and thoroughly deserved to win the match. They showed tremendous character and a braveness to play their football on a pitch which for them would have seemed very large.  I congratulate the lads as this is a brilliant way to end what has been a very enjoyable and successful season.”
