BEST: Business and Enterprise Skills Training

BEST: Business and Enterprise Skills Training

Early in the Autumn Term, Year 12 girls spend a whole day off timetable to learn about the world of business and the range of skills they will need to make a successful career in this area. Seminars cover team working, presentation skills, marketing, communication, budgeting and business planning. The girls work with professional experts in these sessions to prepare themselves to compete for the KPMG Enterprise Trophy.

The KPMG Enterprise Trophy

After their initial training day, girls will be put into mixed teams with the boys and they will develop their own business ideas in another day off timetable in December. They will be expected to write and deliver a ten minute PowerPoint presentation to a panel of judges taken from the world of business. The best four teams will go forwards to compete for the KPMG Enterprise Trophy in the Spring Term.
