Our extra-curricular programme enables pupils to participate in
a range of competitive and recreational activities. These
activities are arranged in such a way as to allow most girls the
opportunity to experience every activity available should they wish
to do so during their time with us. Many of the activities take
place during the lunch hour with inter-school matches being played
after school and on Saturday mornings.
In addition, there are opportunities for girls to develop their
skills on a more recreational level through clubs for Athletics,
Badminton, Lacrosse, Netball, Rounders, Swimming and Tennis.
There are also opportunities for pupils to experience new sports
through established links with Bolton Community Sports Development
initiatives. This has proved highly successful and very popular,
enabling pupils to further develop existing interests or pursue
other activities that cannot be delivered through the curricular or
extra-curricular programme. Examples include football courses by
Bolton Wanderers Coaching staff and Tag Rugby courses run by the
Bolton Rugby Development Officer. We also have well established
links with local Athletics, Netball, Swimming and Tennis Clubs as
well as with Bolton Lads' and Girls' Club.
