Facilities

The school shares its attractive 32 acre wooded site with the Boys' Division and the Infant Department (Beech House). The new state-of-the art Girls' Junior School, Hesketh House, is adjacent to the Senior School and was completed in 2010.

Housed in an attractive Grade II listed building, the Senior School has an impressive Great Hall, spacious corridors, a theatre, two Resistant Materials workshops, two Textile studios, two Food Technology rooms, four computer rooms, seven laboratories, three Art studios and two fine libraries staffed by two qualified librarians and their staff. The Sixth Form currently have their own Common Room with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable seating and a private study area containing reference books and networked PCs. In September 2013, they will move into purpose built facilities shared with the Boys’ Division for their recreation and study periods.

Other facilities shared with the Boys’ Division include our award-winning Careers' Department, the Arts Complex and Sports Hall, a 25 metre swimming pool, extensive playing fields, the Leverhulme Sports Pavilion, an outdoor pursuits facility at Patterdale Hall in the Lake District and the School's 60ft sailing yacht, Tenacity of Bolton.
