Infant Department

The Infant Department of Bolton School has existed since 1882 but moved to its exciting new building in June 2009. Here, classrooms are spacious, light and well-equipped, with interactive whiteboards and easy access to outdoor play areas for the younger children. Each year group has a shared area used for play and creative activities and for group work.

Children make excellent progress in ICT thanks to the ICT room which has enough computers for an entire class and all Year 2 children have an opportunity to swim in the Senior School pool and to learn the cello or violin in our music room with specialist music staff. Key Stage 1 children have specialist teaching in PE in our beautiful hall.

Teachers, nursery nurses and teaching assistants help the children to achieve high standards while making sure that they have plenty of fun. There is a real family feeling in Beech House and the staff make every effort to cater for individual needs and differences and to encourage the children to make the most of their talents.
