"Reluctantly, I wait for the holidays to come. I love coming to school. I am still doing cross country...the reason why I started was because Jessica Ennis inspired me."

England Star Visits Netball Fever at Bolton School

Tuesday, 26 July 2016

During the summer holidays, forty local girls between the ages of seven and fourteen took part in Activate Sport’s Netball Fever. This summer camp was held Bolton School and made use of the School’s outdoor netball courts and the Girls’ Division gymnasium facilities.

The children had lots of fun with the coaches as they improved their netball skills through activities and games as well as netball matches. The course was custom designed by top coaches to cover all aspects of netball and help participants to develop, and the children enjoyed challenging themselves to improve as they went along.

The highlight of Netball Fever was the Star Visit from England Netball and Manchester Thunder player Helen Housby. Helen spent the whole day with the girls and was able to pass on valuable tips as she coached the groups. There were plenty of opportunities to chat and ask questions, and the girls were really interested to hear all about Helen’s experiences playing for England.
