Lancashire Call Up for U15s

Friday, 05 December 2014

Twelve girls have been called up to play for their county as part of the Lancashire Lacrosse U15s squads, and two to the reserves.

Jaya Guhathakurta in Year 9 has been selected for the A Squad, while her sister Priya Guhathakurta from Year 10 has joined the B Squad.

Year 10 girls Scarlett Amos, Maisie Camm  and Aime Murray have also been selected for the A squad, alongside Louisa Brophy from Year 11, and Eleanor Gibbons in Year 9.

The B Squad has invited Year 9 pupil Gabriella Appleby and Year 10 pupil Hannah Saad, and have also selected a number of the School’s younger girls: Year 8 pupil Maddie Kennedy, and Year 7s Arabella Barker-Smith and Ellie Bridge. Ellie and Maddie are twelve and Arabella is just eleven,  meaning that they are playing up by an impressive margin!

Rachael Crompton from Year 9 and Asmara Stubley from Year 8 have been selected as non-travelling reserves for the squads.

After the selection of thirteen girls in Years 10-13 to the Lancashire Lacrosse U18 Squads, this clearly shows that lacrosse is a strong sport within the School.
