We are delighted to announce that from September of this year we
will be offering a new coach route from Blackpool and Kirkham to
Bolton School.
As a result of increased demand, the new route will bring pupils
into Bolton School from the Fylde by coach for the first
time. There will be pick-ups at Blackpool and Kirkham before
the coach then fills up at Fulwood, Preston and travels directly
into School.
For those wishing to make the journey into School by train,
there will also be a separate mini-bus service which will pick up
and drop off at Lostock Station, making the School accessible by
train from Blackpool, Kirkham and Preston and, also, from Salford
and Manchester.
Pupils who wish to board a Bolton School coach from central
Blackburn will also be able to do so for the first time as the
current Darwen bus will start its journey a little earlier and will
pick pupils up from Ewood Park in central Blackburn.
Currently almost half of our pupils, including some from our
junior schools, utilise our exclusive coach service and the school
day is organised so that pupils travelling into school can take
full advantage of our extra-curricular provision.
From September onwards, the School will run a total of 23 coach
routes across the North-West. You can read more about current
routes, timetables and prices here.
