Bolton School Girls’ Division teachers have been raising money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK by growing moustaches for Movember!
Mr Radcliffe, Mr Boyle, Mr Ball, Mr Challinor, Mr Hepplston, Mr Fitrzyk, Mr Owen, Mr Berry and Mr Keywan locked away their razors for the whole month of November and threw themselves into the challenge. Whilst enjoying some healthy competition as they compared and contrasted each other’s growth, they all said that they are ready for the big shave off over the weekend. Between them they have raised over £300.
Movember challenges men to grow a moustache during the month of November, changing both their appearance and the face of men’s health.
The campaign supports world class men’s health programmes that combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges. These programmes, directed by the Movember Foundation, are focused on awareness and education, living with and beyond cancer, staying mentally healthy, living with and beyond mental illness and research in order to achieve their vision of making an everlasting impact on the face of men’s health.
The Movember campaign is now in its 10th year, after originating in Australia it has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 4 million participants across 21 countries worldwide.
