"Personally I attribute a significant part of my success to my Bolton School education and the superb foundation it provided. It is the reason why I am so keen to come back and work with the School. "

Aaron Selected for U19 GB Water Polo Camp

Saturday, 08 February 2014

Year 12 student Aaron Winstanley has been called up to the GB U19s’ Water Polo team’s camp in the February half-term. This is a significant achievement for Aaron, who will be “playing up” by two years. This comes on top of his call up, along with Year 11 pupil James Barker, to play for national champions City of Manchester in the British Water Polo Championships, which took place over the weekend just gone. Aaron and James joined a number of Old Boys at the top Manchester club: Olympian Ed Scott, Rob Rae and Charles Booth. The Manchester team won through to the semi-finals where they will meet Invicta on Saturday 22 February at the Manchester Acquatics Centre. The British Championships also involved Old Boys David Teasdale (Lancaster), Ed Grundy (Portobello) and Andy Crawford (Bristol).

Ed Grundy has been called up to the Scotland team ahead of the Commonwealth Games and could end up playing fellow Old Boy Ed Scott, who will captain the England team.
