"Bravo to all at the School, and heartiest thanks for their genuine devotion to our children and their futures. If there were to be one example for all schools to be modelled upon, Bolton School would be the natural choice."

Monday, 23 March 2015

Three Bolton School boys have made it through to the national final of the Independent Schools’ Golf Association (ISGA) Singles Matchplay Tournament, which will be held at Royal St George’s Golf Club in Kent on 26 and 27 April. The Bolton School Golf Team overcame St Bees School in the Regional Final held at Ulverston Golf Club.

A delighted Coach Mr Chris Coffey said: "I am very proud of these young men; each one of them performed with skill and integrity. I wish them all the very best in the national final."

James Blyth aged 18, Aston Haslam aged 17 and Jamie Kinsley-Wilson aged 17, all Sixth Formers at Bolton School, will find themselves up against stiff competition from other independent schools from across the country, including Wellington, Marlborough and Harrow. 130 teams initially entered the competition.
