Costume Parade For Charity Fun Run

Monday, 27 April 2015

Following the success of last year’s Sixth Form Fancy Dress Fun Run, the Boys’ Division decided to repeat the event. This year, the boys were raising money and awareness for two charities nominated by Sixth Form students: Rape Crisis in England and Wales and the Parish Hall Restoration Appeal for Holy Trinity Church in Horwich.

During Monday’s SPACE Programme session, the Sixth Form boys took to the Levels wearing a wide variety of fancy dress costumes. From superheroes to sumo wrestlers, handcuffed convicts to traditional scouts, and even a couple of hobbits, the boys really entered into the spirit of the occasion.

Although the weather was not quite warm and sunny, the rain held off for the duration of the boys’ three laps of the Levels, and they were rewarded at the end of their efforts with a well-deserved ice cream.
