Costumed Fun Run Raises Money for Guide Dogs

Monday, 28 April 2014

The Sixth Form boys donned fancy dress for this afternoon’s charity Fun Run in support of Guide Dogs.

In the warm and sunny weather – and wearing costumes as diverse as bananas, Ghostbusters, and even borrowed dresses and wigs – the four laps they were challenged to complete were a gruelling prospect! However, they had plenty of supporters cheering them on, including Heather Lowe, a trainee guide dog boarder, and Digger the black Labrador who is her current trainee.

The boys were rewarded at the end of the Fun Run with a range of ‘giant’ games– including huge versions of Twister, Jenga and KerPlunk. Finally, they rounded the afternoon off with well-deserved ice-creams.

The Boys’ Division has been working hard throughout the year to raise enough funds to fully sponsor a guide dog puppy. The sponsorship money from the Sixth Form Fun Run will be added to the Boys’ Division’s total.
