Haseeb in Fine Form for Lancashire

Monday, 18 August 2014

Haseeb Hameed’s excellent scores in recent cricket matches for Lancashire's second XI suggest he is one to watch for the future. In recent days, he scored 92 in the second innings of a three-day Championship match against Derbyshire and 112 in a one-day match against Glamorgan!

His good work on the cricket pitch has attracted the attention of Lancashire first XI coach Glen Chapple: “Haseeb’s a very promising young player. He’s had a couple of good scores in the second team of late, and he’s certainly one for the future.”

Haseeb also plays with the England U19s, and is currently playing in a five-day series against the South African U19 team. In the two matches played so far, Haseeb’s strong and consistent score of 97 in each have helped the England team to victory in both cases.
