Sixth Form pupil James Roberts has been selected to be part of
the first ever Independent Schools FA Student Management Team for
the 2011-12 season.
As such, James will be partly responsible for coordinating the
annual ISFA Leadership Camp which he has previously attended
himself. He will be one of ten student faces for the camp, which
this year will take place at Bradfield College on Saturday March
31st to Sunday April 1st 2012. The camp is
aimed at developing core leadership skills of young leaders from
around the country with National FA tutors guiding them through a
range of footballing disciplines. The young leaders take part in
sessions covering youth coaching, refereeing, delivering football
activities and Futsal over the course of the two days. For James,
being part of the ISFA Student Management Team also involves four
days at Wembley Stadium.
James will be given exclusive kit and will take part in a
photo-shoot to promote Leadership and Volunteering in the
Independent Sector. Following completion of his Student Management
Team experience, ISFA will also provide James with a reference that
he can use for his CV or UCAS form to support the work that he has
done with the Independent Schools FA.
In the official invitation sent out to James and the other
Independent School students selected to be part of the team, Sean
Smith, Football Development Officer for the Independent Schools FA,
said: "I would like to finish by congratulating you on your
all-round performance at the ISFA Leadership Camp and the
commitment to volunteering that you have demonstrated within your
own schools. It is this enthusiasm and talent which has earned you
a place on ISFA's first ever Student Management Team and for this
you should be incredibly proud!"
