Bolton School 1st XV rugby team has reached the U18
Lancashire Cup semi-finals for the first time with a fine quarter
final win away at St Edwards, Liverpool.
After falling behind to an early St Edwards try, Bolton had to
work hard to get any momentum and eventually took the lead with a
try from Richard Sanders, converted by Captain David
Flaherty. The second half saw Bolton return to a more flowing
game and James Dunn and Curtis Edwards both scored good tries after
hard work from the pack. Flaherty kicked the extras to give
Bolton a hard fought 21-5 away win.
The County cup semi final will see Bolton travel away again to
the winners of two of our closest rivals Manchester Grammar or
Hutton Grammar.
