"Three years ago I was undereducated, underachieving and underestimated. The bursary at Bolton School meant that I had a chance at changing my life. It offered me new blueprints for the future, and I saw endless possibilities."

Bolton School Art on Show

Tuesday, 29 June 2010

Year 11 and 13 students from Bolton School Boys' and Girls' Division have been showing their art work at the University of Bolton, in a showcase exhibition called "Best of Bolton".

The exhibition was held in the Innovation Factory of the School of Arts, Media and Education at the University, and showed off art work done by pupils from schools around Bolton.

The event was organised by the university as part of its drive to interact more with local schools and was coordinated with the help of The Art Network, a partnership that exists between schools and the local authority to further the teaching and learning of Art as a subject. The exhibition was sponsored by Pisces Art.

Miss Fazackerly, Head of Art in the Girls' Division, said: "I am delighted to be showing the students' work at such an exhibition.  Seeing it from a distance and in a well lit gallery really does make you appreciate the work all the more."
