Girls Discover Study Abroad Option

Thursday, 15 March 2012

Bolton School Girls' Division pupils were encouraged to explore the option of continuing their education in Canada, with talks from two top universities.

Damara Klaassen from the University of British Columbia and Janet Hurd from the University of Toronto visited the School to talk to girls from Years 10 to 13 about the option of studying abroad and the advantages it may present. The representatives from the two Canadian universities, both of which are ranked highly in the world, spoke to the girls about academic and social life at the universities and in the cities. The presentation was part of the careers programme at the school and girls were encouraged to ask questions to find out if this option would be right for them.
