Bolton School Joint Chamber Choir performed in a lunchtime
concert at Bolton Parish Church, as part of a series of their
concert series.
The Chamber Choir, directed by Alistair MacKenzie, performed a
mixed programme of sacred and secular music by Benjamin Britten,
George Frederick Handel and Herbert Murrill, with a contrast of
arrangements of lighter favourites including Blue Moon, The Way We
Were and a dynamic version of and The Rhythm of Life to an
appreciative audience of members of the public making the most of
their lunch breaks!
The Chamber Choir consists of pupils aged 14 to 18 who perform
in many public performances throughout the year and have performed
in major concert venues including Manchester Cathedral and The
Bridgewater Hall and have performed in a number of European tours
to France, The Czech Republic and Vienna.
These concerts at St. Peter's are held every Tuesday and next
will be the Bolton School Senior and Advanced Guitar Groups.
