Old Girl Discusses Commercial Property With Sixth Formers

Monday, 07 July 2014

Old Girl Aimee Parkinson returned to Bolton School to give a talk to Sixth Formers about working in the world of commercial property.

Aimee left Bolton School in 2007 to study Architectural Engineering and Design Management at Loughborough University. After obtaining her degree and a further Masters degree in Real Estate from Nottingham Trent University, she obtained a graduate position with CBRE, a leading global commercial property and real estate company. Now based in the Manchester office, Aimee is on a two-year programme working towards the completion of her Assessment of Professional Competence (APC).

She was therefore the perfect candidate to talk to pupils interested in working in this field in the future. She met up with a group of Sixth Formers in the Leverhulme Suite in the Riley Centre to give them a brief talk about her own career path and the best way to get into commercial property.

Aimee mentioned that she has encountered quite a number of Bolton School alumni working in the commercial property field, so any pupils who take this path in the future may find themselves bumping into a few familiar names and faces!
