An Interview with Sir Harry Kroto (Winner of Nobel Prize for Chemistry)
Renowned scientist Sir Harry Kroto returned to Bolton School in June 2013 to promote science and learning to over 800 local school children. He also found time for an interview, conducted by three pupils from the Boys' Division. These are the highlights of that interview. You can read more about his visit at the school's website: http://www.boltonschool.org/senior-boys/news/nobel-prize-winner-inspires-next-generation/ Sir Harry Kroto won the Nobel Prize for Chemistry along with the rest of his team in 1996 for the discovery of the C60 molecule, Buckminsterfullerene - nicknamed "buckyballs". He is an Old Boy of Bolton School Boys' Division, having attended the school in the 1950s.
