Modern Languages at Oxford; postgraduate Economics at Birkbeck, University of London; various short courses in journalism and finance.
Who/what has been your biggest inspiration?
This is a very difficult question to answer as my inspirations change quite often!
What do you like most about your job?
Doing something different every day, and not having a boss.
What do you consider to be your greatest career achievement?
Setting up my company and getting a decent client base with interesting projects very quickly.
How did Bolton School help you to be successful in your chosen career?
After seven years at Bolton School, it seemed perfectly natural to me that as a woman I could do well in the corporate world, without changing the way I behave. I only realised later that this belief was unusual, and I really do believe it's thanks to the confidence that Bolton School instills in its students. Things are getting easier for women in big companies, but there's still an underlying assumption in a lot of places that you will not be as forthcoming or ambitious as men in a similar position. It's easier not to conform to this stereotype if you've been constantly encouraged at School to think you can achieve things.
