Best Ever Results in Biology Olympiad

  • Biology Challenge.JPG

This year’s results in the British Biology Olympiad were the best the Girls’ Division has ever had! Huge congratulations to all the Sixth Form students who sat the examination and particularly to those girls who attained awards. Subhi Loganathan achieved the Gold Award, Silver Awards were given to Nicola Li and Khadija Ali, and Zara Walsh and Fatima Naeem received Bronze Awards.

The Olympiad is designed to challenge students who have an interest in Biology, encouraging them to expand and extend their talents and offering a wider syllabus than A Level.

Lower down the school, girls in Year 10 took on the Biology Challenge, a similar competition which stimulates students’ curiosity for the natural world and encourages them to take an interest in biology outside of their school work. This year Madiha Hussain, Celia Logan, Maia Patel, Estelle Pass and Ani Sastry all received Silver in the Challenge. A further 18 pupils achieved Bronze, 16 were Highly Commended and 17 were Commended.
