Pupils from the Girls’ Division put on their best festive dress in aid of The Christie for Christmas Jumper Day. They wore a colourful selection of Christmas jumpers, hats or socks with their normal uniform, or even brightened up their jumpers with some tinsel.
During morning assembly on the same day, pupils enjoyed watching the annual Year 10 Christmas Post assembly. The event kicked off the year group’s festive fundraising through cake and sweet stalls and the delivery of Christmas cards. This year the girls supported Beat, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity.
On the penultimate day of term, girls enjoyed watching the Prefects’ Panto. This year’s offering was ‘The “BBC” … Big Bolton Christmas’ and the whole school had fun watching the Prefects and Head Girl team as they caricatured the different members of staff and departments! The entry fee to enjoy this long-standing Bolton School tradition raised money for Rainbow House, a nursery in Ormskirk which provides support for children with special needs.
