Five teams took part in this year’s Bolton School Maths Challenge, which sees Y5 boys and girls pit their mathematical wits against each other in a number of fun challenges.

Boys’ Division Maths Teacher Mrs Roadnight delivered the session, which was divided into three sections – a challenge to make the total number by using the numbers provided, a Maths team relay and a ‘speed test’.

A Junior Girls’ team from Bolton School won the competition by just one point.

The event was one of a series of open events that Bolton School holds for local primary and secondary schools and colleges and Sixth Forms.
