I Am Looking For

Staff Member’s Premier League Cycle Challenge

  • Premier League Cycle Challenge Man City
  • Premier League Cycle Challenge Brighton
  • Premier League Cycle Challenge Spurs
  • Premier League Cycle Challenge Chelsea

A member of BSS Leisure staff has completed a charity cycle challenge which saw him visit all twenty Premier League clubs by pedal-power. Mr Pete Lambert started in Newcastle and cycled 840 miles in just nine days, from 21 to 30 April, to finish his epic journey in Watford. Several of the clubs showed their support for the challenge by offering entry to their stadiums for pitch side photos. The tough challenge left him “limping” due to all the time spent on his bike, but was for a very worthy cause.

He has already raised over £2,000 for READY, a disability sport charity offering specialist equipment and sporting opportunities for young people under the age of 21.

He said, “The main reason for choosing READY was due to their excellent work with regards to inclusion and creating opportunities for others. It’s something I’m passionate about and I believe that when given the chance, anybody can do anything with the right guidance and support. Me completing this challenge shows exactly that and it applies to everyone no matter what their circumstance may be.”

Anyone wishing to make further donations can do so via his JustGiving page.

BBC North West Tonight made a video about the cycle challenge, which can be watched on Facebook.
