Over the last month, a number of pupils from Bolton School Girls’ Division Year 9 upwards have trialled for the Under 18 and Under 15 Lancashire County Lacrosse Squads.  Up against strong competition, the girls performed very well under the pressure of a trials situation and over 20 girls were successful in their selection to represent Lancashire.

Chloe Ferguson, Phoebe Hurt and Millie Hurt were called up to the U18 ‘A’ Squad and Issy Corrigan, Eve Gould, Alice Leary and Martha Halford made the ‘B’ Squad.

At Under 15 level, Ella Brophy, Phoebe Chuck, Martha Halford and Ruby Hassall all made the ‘A’ Squad and Summer Burke, Jasmine Curtis-Walker, Lola Grundy, Ruby Hurt, Alice Leary, Anika Maini, Martha Morrow, Kim Short and Jade Sprott were called up to the ‘B’ Squad.  Summer and Anika were nominated joint Captains of the B Squad.

PE Teacher Ms Donaghy said: “Well done to all the girls and best of luck to the Under 15 Squads in their Northern Counties Tournament this Sunday at Queen Margaret’s School in York.”
