School to Host Audience with Fitness Guru Ken Heathcote

On Wednesday 16 May at 7.15pm, Bolton School will host An Audience with Ken Heathcote, interviewed by Angela Kelly. Ken has written several books, the latest being We’re Going To Live Forever, which will also be the focus of the discussion.

A well-known fitness guru in the UK, Ken is known as ‘The Father of Fitness’. With his business partner he launched his first gym almost 50 years ago and he has spent a lifetime pioneering fitness for all. He is a high profile fundraiser for Cancer Research UK and regularly appears in the media. At the age of 81 he took part in three open water swimming events – The Great North Swim covering 3.1 miles of Lake Windermere, a 5.2 mile swim of Lake Coniston and finally a swim covering 10.25 miles covering the length of Lake Windermere. All these were completed within 8 weeks!

Angela Kelly is an experienced, award-winning journalist with a long career in the media. She writes regularly for a variety of magazines, newspapers and online platforms. She has been a University lecturer, runs courses and hosts events.

The event will take place on Wednesday 16 May 2018 in the Arts Centre at Bolton School. Doors will open at 6.45pm for a 7.15pm start, and parking will be available on the night via the Dobson Road entrance. Sixth Form students may attend without an adult. The evening is expected to draw to a close at 9.00pm.


Tickets are £5 each or £15 for a family ticket (includes 2 parents and 2 children).

Tickets are on sale in school from the Receptions in both the Riley Centre and The Arts Centre or from PA members.
