Town Team Successes for Cross Country Girls

Congratulations go out to Blythe Cordwell (Y7) and Lucy Dixon (Y8) who both had impressive runs at the start of the month as members of the Bolton Town Cross Country Team at the Greater Manchester Championships held at Heaton Park.

Blythe finished in 14th position and was the 3rd Bolton athlete home. The Y7 Bolton Town team came second overall in their competition.

Lucy achieved a third place finish in the Y8/9 race and was the first Bolton girl home. The Y8/9 Bolton Town Team also finished second in their competition.

Lucy will go on to represent the Greater Manchester Schools Team in the English Schools Cross Country Championships at Temple Newsam, Leeds on 17 March.

Lucy also had a very successful half-term in the county swimming championships.
