The Junior Girls’ Sports Day took place in brilliant sunshine. Pupils competed in a range of sporting activities in the hopes of earning points for their House: Buttermere, Grasmere, Rydal, Ullswater or Windermere.

In addition to sprint races, there was an obstacle course race and a race where all the competitors had a bean-bag on their heads. Traditional egg-and-spoon and sack races took place, and there were also two different throwing competitions, long jump and standing long jump.

There was lots of cheering from parents, grandparents and classmates throughout the afternoon. The winning House at the end of Sports Day was Grasmere.
