"The classic Bolton School combination is hard work, good friends, challenging and thought-provoking teaching, a healthy desire to puncture the self-important and the sense that you can work hard to achieve things in life. "

Children Enjoy the Traditional Tale Ball

Thursday, 21 February 2013

Year 2 pupils have had great fun dressing up as characters from traditional stories and attending a Traditional Tale Ball, including a banquet and dancing! The children were given a scroll inviting them to the ball and were asked to reply from the character that they would be attending as. The event was a colourful and unforgettable precursor to their unit of work on Traditional Tales.

Teacher Mrs Penny Clarke was delighted with how well the Ball was received: “The children and the staff all had a lovely time and we hope that this interesting start to our topic will stimulate lots of writing and other work from the children.”
