Pupils in Reception and Year 1 enjoyed a very special story time with local children’s author and illustrator Sean Perkins. He visited Beech House, Bolton School’s Infant School, to read his new book: ‘Oscar and Ben’, a funny story about what two mischievous cats get up to overnight and the consequences of their actions.

After listening to the story, the children asked questions and talked to Sean about their favourite things from the book. There were even some requests for new stories for his next visit!

The children received ‘Oscar and Ben’ stickers and activity sheets to make their own puppet versions of the characters so that they could tell their own stories with Oscar and Ben.

‘Oscar and Ben’ is the second book Sean has written and illustrated. More information, activities and worksheets can be found on his website.
