Christmas Gifts for Romanian Children
Wednesday, 21 November 2012
Beech House children (and their parents) offered over 200 boxes of toys and Christmas gifts for deprived Romanian children.
Mr Peter Jones, President of Bolton Daybreak Rotary Club, told the four to seven year olds: "This is really, really good. Thank you very much to you and your parents from all at the Rotary Club and, also, from the children of Romania."
Mr Jones explained to the children that the Rotary club comprises local businessmen and women who come together to do charitable work. He told the Infants that their boxes would travel on a lorry for 4 days and would then be delivered to children in Romania - and for many, this would be the first present that they have ever received.
