Children at Beech House have shown their generosity this year as they have been going through their own toy collections to find things that they do not play with any more and think that other boys and girls might enjoy this Christmas.
Representatives from Bolton Lions Club were delighted at the quality and quantity of toys that had been collected at the Infant School this year. Bill Laithwaite of the Lions said: "Last year we distributed toys to over 700 children in Bolton whose parents, otherwise, may have struggled to give them all that they wanted at Christmas. I suspect this year, we will distribute to even more children. I can't thank the Beech House children and their parents enough for donating so many gifts."
The Bolton Lions collect all year round but launched their annual Caring Christmas Appeal in earnest last Thursday. Over the coming weeks they will collect from other schools, churches and individuals who can leave gifts at a number of collection points across the town.
