Courtesy of the Freshwater Theatre Company, Y2 children at Beech House, Bolton School’s Infant School, were time travelled back to 1912 and the maiden voyage of the Titanic. During the workshop, the young pupils were challenged to use their imaginations to build the boat and pretend to be 1st, 2nd and 3rd class passengers.

Teacher Mrs Clarke said: ‘The children thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the events of the sinking of the Titanic, exploring the various theories about who was to blame and learning about the lives of some of the people who were on board. They learned new facts about the Titanic disaster and eventually were brought home again, having gained the qualification of “time travelling masters”.’
