Mad Hair Day Raises Over £600 for Children in Need
Friday, 14 November 2014
The ‘Mad Hair Day’ at Beech House Infants’ School in support of Children in Need was enthusiastically embraced by all of the pupils.
The boys and girls were a tremendous sight to behold, as were some of the teachers! Some donned enormous wigs or funky hats. Others wore brightly coloured extensions, hair clips, and other decorations. Yet more had their hair put up into elaborate styles or sprayed unusual colours by patient parents. One boy even had his hair coloured yellow with multi-coloured spots in honour of Children in Need!
Mad Hair Day was lots of fun for everyone involved, and also supported an excellent cause. Parents were asked to donate to Children in Need as part of the Mad Hair Day, and thanks to their generosity Beech House raised a grand total of £602.19!
The Junior Girls’ and Junior Boys’ Schools also held Children in Need events to raise money for this worthy cause.
