New Headteacher for Beech House
Friday, 28 August 2015
Mrs Tracey Taylor will become the new Headteacher at Beech House, the co-educational Infant Department (4-7 years) of Bolton School, from September 2015. She takes over the reins from the retiring Mrs Deborah Northin.
Ahead of the first day of term, Mrs Taylor said: “I am really looking forward to meeting and getting to know the children and their parents. Successful schooling is all about creating a healthy relationship between teachers, children and their parents and homelife. Once I have got to know the staff better and they have got to know me, I hope to take Beech House to the next phase in its development.”
Prior to her appointment, Mrs Taylor was Headteacher of Adlington Primary School where, under her leadership, numbers rose and the school established an excellent reputation in the local community. Mrs Taylor began her teaching career as a Reception and Year 1 class teacher and she has a passion for teaching in the Early Years. Commenting on the EYFS, she said: ‘I believe that success starts with establishing firm foundations and I believe pupils thrive in early life if they have had positive and creative experiences in the early years of their education.’
Mrs Taylor’s hobbies include walking, swimming, baking, glass painting and visiting art galleries, exhibitions and places of historical interest. She currently lives in Chorley and is married with two grown up sons. She has a BEd and NPQH from Edge Hill College.
